Worth-it High End Restaurants of Central Florida
We need a special occasion every now and then. This is where I would take someone with expensive taste or someone I am trying to impress that is actually worth the money.
The most spectacular dessert experience table-side goes to Bull & Bear. This immediately elevates any restaurant - when the server brings a fancy cart to make ice cream right in front of you with nitrogen. Fantastique. The mains are also incredible and quite the show, but save room for dessert.
Truthfully, I think this is the only restaurant that is worth it in Downtown Orlando. All the other steakhouses, like Kres, overhype and under deliver. Whereas the Boheme does little to no advertisement, as it doesn’t need to, and always is a fantastic experience. The hotel just had a major renovation in the last year or so, making it incredibly art deco. Very different from other designs you typically see nowadays. You can stroll through the lobby after dinner or go to Mather’s nearby for a fun cocktail with similar vibe.
Kaya’s prix fixed menu is 100% worth the tag price. I would bring any up-scale foody here over any other place on this list. It is truly for the food and vibe lovers. Not incredibly fancy, but definitely high-end. The portion sizes are extremely large for a prix-fixed menu, as well.
Doshi feels like it is straight from London. Its prix-fixed menu is a work of art, where each individual plate is decorated. This is a small spot, so can swing casual if you want it to be, but the aesthetic is so high end and reminds me of so many London restaurants.
